Our Director

Queensland Conference and Camping Centre’s newly appointed Director of Camping is 39 year-old Andrew Grant.

QCCC's new Director of Camping, Andrew Grant

Andrew was appointed to the position in late 2009 response to the growing success of QCCC’s three main sites.  His role is to oversee operations at its three South East Queensland facilities, ensure that QCCC maintains its high standards and take responsibility for the development of new programs and services.

Andrew and his family, wife Anne and three boys Joseph, Timothy and Elijah moved to Mapleton from Dubbo, NSW, where Andrew was the Director of Business and Finance with Cornerstone Community.  Andrew’s previous role included being a franchisee of two outlets of Domino’s Pizza and provided a thorough grounding in the business and youth work roles essential to a successful camping operation.

Andrew graduated from Townsville’s James Cook University with a Bachelor of Economics degree and also has qualifications in Christian Studies.  His academic credentials are complemented by nearly two decades of work experience across roles in the public service, small business and the not-for-profit sector.

QCCC’s three venues are spread across South East Queensland, at Brookfield (13km from the Brisbane CBD), Mapleton (Sunshine Coast hinterland) and Mount Tamborine (Gold Coast hinterland).  Andrew’s office is based at the largest of the three sites, Mapleton, and regularly travels between the other two sites.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to join the QCCC family and contribute to their operations and ministry,” Andrew said from his base at the Mapleton Centre on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. “QCCC has some of the most breathtaking and versatile camping and conferencing venues in South East Queensland and it’s a privilege to join with the current staff and work with such great facilities.”

“QCCC has built up a strong reputation for a quality experience for both camps and conferences.  My role is to take our services to a new level, to expand our operations and ensure that our clients and guests continue to enjoy the high standard they’ve become used to.  Our staff are pro-active about growth and we have some exciting developments to unveil over the next 12 months”.

“QCCC’s aim is to be the leading provider of conference, camping and expeditions in the South East Queensland corner, and we hope to do this by pursuing an innovative approach to our business development”.
