Originally the property was the Queensland Baptist College of Ministries (or Theological College going back further), but when it changed its name to Malyon College and moved to Mitchelton, QCCC moved in.
QCCC Brookfield is only a short 15 minute drive from the CBD of Brisbane, but it could be a world away. Nestled on the back slopes of Mount Cootha, it is cut into a beautiful forest setting alive with bird life. It gives a great combination of relaxing green space, with close convenience to the major attractions of Australia’s third largest city.
QCCC Brookfield has modern accommodation, with 144 single beds (no bunks) spread about modern rooms with air-conditioning and ensuites. The Brookfield kitchen is staffed by two full-time chefs who regularly churn out a gourmet delight for both accommodated groups and day-users.

When not using Brookfield as a base to get around the many attractions in Brisbane, guests have use of a swimming pool, tennis court, beach volleyball, a games room and many lounge areas.
One of the major strengths of Brookfield is its multiple meeting room spaces. Brookfield has fourteen meeting rooms of varying sizes as well as an auditorium for concerts and performances. This makes it an ideal venue for music camps, craft groups, retreat groups and other retreats requiring ‘break-out’ areas. Dance groups also enjoy a designated room for dance practice.
QCCC Brookfield is also highly sought after by out-of-town groups requiring a place to stay while they take in all that Brisbane has to offer. Brookfield hosts many schools coming to Brisbane for their camp in the big city. And there’s a long list of Brisbane sites and attractions within easy reach of Brookfield.
QCCC Brookfield breaks the mould of the traditional camp site. It has modern facilities and is highly sought after for day conferences and retreats as well because of its facilities and reputation for excellent catering. Affordable accommodation, tranquil setting, great facilities all so close to all the modern conveniences of Brisbane.
